School history: In 1958, the present Edison campus opened for grades 9-12. The campus was named for Thomas Alva Edison, an American inventor and businessman, who has been described as America's greatest inventor. The school was originally opened in 1929 on what is now the campus for John Greenleaf Whittier Academy at 2101 Edison Drive. Campus News

Edison HS has a unique courtyard and canopy for outdoor use located between the fine arts building and, cafeteria, and the boy’s gym. As a result of 2016 bond funding, Edison is benefiting from significant campus improvements that are already well underway. PBK Architects and Bartlett Cocke construction are collaborating on the project.

    Golden Bear Alumni Association is going to award 12-$500 scholarships to 2021 seniors
