🏆🏈 Congratulations to the Voks, the pride of the Westside! Lanier, 4-1 for the season, won the District 13-5A-I championship by beating Brackenridge 14-7 in the zone title game. It’s the team’s first outright District crown since 2005!  Fabian Maciel, quarterback and linebacker, is the team’s scoring leader with 11 touchdowns in this abbreviated season. Rudy Guerra is the top receiver with 134 yards and 3 scores. Don Gatian, a seasoned veteran who has taken teams to the playoffs 11 times, is in his 23rd season as head football coach for the Voks. Go Lanier! Go SAISD! 🏆

Lanier High School math teacher Adriana Abundis had no idea of the surprise that was awaiting her on the second day of classes when she was awarded the 2020 Secondary Teacher of the Year by Education Service Center, Region 20. Read all about this outstanding Vok educator here!

In fall 2021, Lanier will launch their Construction Science P-Tech Program focused on preparing students with necessary skills, certifications, and industry-specific training necessary that leads to a high-wage, high-demand career in Construction Technology, Construction Science and Management, or Power Generation and Alternative Energy. Click here to learn more or to enroll.
